It's taken me months to get back into the swing of things after my husband deployed.  Everything was mechanical and felt weird, including holding a camera in my hands.  It's only been the past month or so when everything has seemed to click back into place.

I'm finding, as I shoot, as I look at pictures and edit and tinker, that the ones I really like, the ones I appreciate the most, are the ones that are barely edited.  Although when I just barely touch my pictures, I feel they're naked, that adage about being one's critic applies here.  But to me, pictures are memories, literal memories captured on film, and my own memories aren't edited.
